Travel and Venue

Visa:

Travellers from most countries can enter Hong Kong and stay for 14 days or more without a visa. Please check Part II of: https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html

Covid Policy:

Currently there are no covid-related tests or restrictions for inbound travellers. You can find the most updated policies here: https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/inbound-travel.html

Getting from the airport to the university:

It is strongly advised that one purchases a tourist "Octopus Card" at the airport, which can be recharged and used to pay for public transportation and at many restaurants and convenience stores in Hong Kong.

One can either take a taxi or use the MTR at the airport. If you decide to take a taxi to the venue (~400 HKD) please withdraw cash at the airport, as most taxi drivers only accept cash. If you prefers the MTR, you can first take the airport express to Central and then Central to HKU (https://www.mtr.com.hk/archive/en/services/routemap.pdf). At the HKU MTR station, take Exit A and then take the lift at Exit A2 to enter the university. The address of the venue is: CPD 3.04, Central Podium Levels -  Three, Run Run Shaw Tower, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong.
